Tea for the moments between.

NUWARA ELIYA · SRI LANKA'S TEA COUNTRY

It started in the tea fields of Sri Lanka.

Fifteen years ago, Qin and I traveled to Nuwara Eliya, surrounded by tea fields rolling through the misty mountains. We fell in love with more than tea—the patience, ritual, and quiet work behind every cup.

Then life took us in different directions.

Qin spent the next 15 years building her life in tea. I moved to Los Angeles, began a new life.

Somewhere along the way, tea changed for me too. It became less about where I had traveled and more about the small moments I could call my own—a quiet morning, a pause from work, a cup after the kids were asleep.

Years later, Qin and I found ourselves together again. This time, both mothers, we understood those little moments differently.

Over tea, we asked:

What if we created something for the moments when you need a little time to yourself?

That conversation became ORTEANA.
